The History
This simple brick commercial structure was built by Wesley Grimsley as a country store called The Pantry. From 1977 to 2020 it was occupied by Bobby Meadows Printing and Antiques. According to the Hernando Historic Preservation Society, this is the oldest brick building in Hernando County and one of the oldest between Tampa and Ocala.
In 2020, Panbanged Knits & Fiber Shoppe did extensive renovations to the interior, including restoring the tin ceilings. They received the City of Brooksville’s Margaret R. Ghiotto Improvement Award for their efforts.
