Sarah Davis

A lifelong resident, Sarah served as a teacher for 30 years.  Following her retirement, she led her neighborhood crime watch and worked at the Sheriff's Substation on MLK Boulevard.  In her gentle, quiet way, Sarah was considered a matriarch of the community. She took beautification of her neighborhood very seriously and set the example with her own property.

In 2009, Sheriff Nugent presented her with a community service award for her faithfulness.  Following her death, the street where she lived and the Substation where she worked were both named after her.  She was named Great Brooksvillian in 2010.
