Frank Saxon
Frank Saxon (1841-1922) came to Hernando County just prior to the Civil War with his three brothers, Ben, Walter, and Randolph. He married widow Marena May and they had two children but both babies died and then she also passed away three years into the marriage. Several years later he married Talulu Hope and they had seven sons. Frank served in the Florida Legislature and quite a few local elected positions like Clerk of Court and Tax Collector. While other elected officials came and went, Frank served the community for decades as a trusted leader.
