The History
An original structure on this site was built in 1891. Rev. Geroge W Seller came to Brooksville as a minister of Brooksville Methodist Church in 1891 and found the previous wooden Church had been destroyed in the 1880's when a hurricane came through the county. Sellers built up his membership from 50 to 240 and raised $7,000 for a new church within six months. Soon a brick was coming from Palaka to build the original structure. In 1954, the congregation built this new church, an education building, several church-school rooms, and a church office.
